Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of AuditZap (“Service”), operated by Jethro May trading as AuditZap (“we”, “us”, “our”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Service

AuditZap is a website audit tool that crawls a sample of up to 50 pages per audit and returns a report of SEO and performance issues. Results reflect only the pages crawled and may not represent all pages on your site. Performance metrics (LCP, CLS, INP) are sourced from Google PageSpeed and may vary between runs. We provide the Service “as is” and make no guarantees about the completeness or accuracy of audit results.

2. AI-Generated Content

Parts of the Service use artificial intelligence (AI) to generate fix instructions, impact scores, and audit summaries. These outputs are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute professional SEO, web development, or business advice. AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific situation.

Impact scores are AI-generated estimates of relative priority and do not represent guaranteed revenue, traffic, or ranking outcomes. Actual results depend on your site's traffic, content, competition, and many other factors outside our control.

You are solely responsible for reviewing and validating any AI-generated recommendations before implementing them. We accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on AI-generated content.

3. Your Account

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be 18 or older to use the Service. Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to audit websites in a manner that violates any applicable law or the rights of others
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the Service
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Use automated means to access the Service beyond the intended API

5. Plans and Billing

Free accounts include 1 audit per month with 9 critical checks. Pro accounts include unlimited audits, all 24 checks, and AI fix instructions. One-time audit report credits are also available. Current pricing is displayed on our pricing page. All payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as the merchant of record. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time via your account settings; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Right to cancel. Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, UK consumers have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase. Because AuditZap is a digital service, by using the Service during the cooling-off period you acknowledge that you may lose your right to cancel once the digital content has been fully provided. If you have not run any audits during the cooling-off period, you may request a full refund.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all software, design, and content, is owned by Jethro May trading as AuditZap and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

Audit reports generated for your websites are yours to use for any lawful purpose.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AuditZap will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless AuditZap and its operators from any claim, damage, or expense (including legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time for breach of these Terms. You may delete your account at any time via your account settings. On termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or via a notice in the Service at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Service Availability

We strive to keep the Service available at all times, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service depends on third-party providers (including cloud infrastructure, APIs, and payment processors) and may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control — including but not limited to internet outages, third-party service failures, natural disasters, or government actions. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from such interruptions.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
