Cookie Policy

Last updated 4 July 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Jethro May trading as AuditZap (“we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies (including browser localStorage) on https://auditzap.io (“Website”). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and how you can control them.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, to remember your preferences, and to provide reporting information. Some features use browser localStorage instead of cookies; it serves a similar purpose, so we cover it here too. Cookies set by us are “first-party cookies”; cookies set by other companies (for example Google or Microsoft) are “third-party cookies”.

The categories we use

Our cookie banner (provided by the Silktide Consent Manager) groups everything into three categories, and nothing outside the Essential category runs until you opt in:

  • Essential. Required for the Website to work: sign-in sessions, the audit queue, fraud prevention, and remembering your consent choice. These cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics. Help us understand which pages, tools, and audit results people find useful. We use Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. Off by default; only set after you opt in.
  • Marketing. We do not currently load any advertising tags or set any advertising cookies. Opting in to this category sets Google consent-mode signals (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) that would permit ad-related features in Google tags if we use them in future. Off by default.

How can I control cookies?

On your first visit the cookie banner lets you accept all, reject non-essential, or pick categories individually. You can change your mind at any time via the Consent Preferences link in the footer of every page, or the floating cookie icon in the bottom-left corner of the screen. Essential cookies cannot be rejected as they are strictly necessary to provide the Website.

You can also set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies; see your browser's help pages for instructions. For Google Analytics specifically, you can additionally install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

In addition, two Cloudflare services help keep the Website secure: Cloudflare Turnstile runs on our signup and free tool forms to distinguish humans from bots and may store data under its own domain (challenges.cloudflare.com), and the Cloudflare network in front of our Website may set security cookies such as __cf_bm and _cfuvid. See Cloudflare's cookie policy for details.

Microsoft Clarity records how visitors interact with pages (clicks, scrolling, heatmaps, and session replays) and is processed by Microsoft Corporation under the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Microsoft may also set cookies on its own domains (for example clarity.ms) when these services load.

Payments

Checkout and billing are handled by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record on their own domain. Any cookies set during checkout are governed by the Lemon Squeezy privacy policy.

How often will you update this Cookie Policy?

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last updated.
