Free accounts now get weekly monitoring
Free accounts now get a weekly re-check of the site they audited last. Here is what the email says, what it does not do, and how to switch it off.
- Free accounts now get 1 site re-checked every Tuesday, 10 pages deep, as a normal Free audit.
- The site is the one you audited most recently. The re-check does not use up one of your 3 audits a month.
- The email reports new issues, fixed issues, or your next fix. If the site is clean, you get an all-clear.
- Switch off the weekly re-check in Settings under Notifications, or with the Turn off link at the bottom of any report.
- Pro monitors up to 5 sites every Monday, 100 pages deep, with an AI fix for every issue.
A website audit is a snapshot. You run it, fix a few things, and move on. Then a plugin update ships, someone edits the theme, or a redirect gets added in a hurry, and the page that used to have a title tag no longer does. Nobody notices until the rankings move, which is weeks later.
A weekly re-check is the cheapest way to catch that. Until now it was a Pro feature. From today, Free accounts get it too.
What changed
Every Tuesday we re-check 1 site on each Free account. It is the site you audited most recently. The re-check crawls 10 pages, runs all 40 checks, and is a normal Free audit: every check with its details, and one AI fix.
It does not use up one of your 3 audits a month. Those stay yours for whatever else you want to check.
It is on for any account with the weekly re-check switched on in Settings, and it is on by default when you sign up. If you have run at least one audit, you do not need to do anything.
What the weekly email looks like
We only send it when there is something to say. It comes in one of three forms.
Something new broke. The email lists the issues that were not there last week, so a missing H1 or a new broken link is the first thing you see.
Nothing new, some things open. If you fixed something, the email says how many issues are fixed and how many are still open, then names the next one to tackle. If nothing moved, it names your worst open issue as your next fix, so the email still gives you one concrete thing to do.
Truly clean. If every check passes, you get a short all-clear.
Each email links to the full report, where you can see the details for every check.
What it does not do
It is a re-check, not the Pro plan. Four limits are worth knowing:
- It covers 1 site. If you audit a second site, monitoring moves to that one, because it becomes the site you audited most recently.
- It runs on Tuesdays. There is no way to pick the day.
- It crawls 10 pages, the same as any Free audit. A larger site gets its first 10 pages checked, not all of them.
- You get one AI fix per re-check, not a fix for every issue. The details for every failing check are still there.
How to turn it off
Open Settings, go to Notifications, and switch off the weekly re-check. Every report also has a short line at the bottom saying when the next re-check is, with a Turn off link next to it. Either way the re-check stops, and you can switch it back on at any time.
What Pro adds
Pro ($29 a month, or $249 a year) monitors up to 5 sites, re-checked every Monday, 100 pages deep, with an AI fix for every issue on each one. It adds a watermark-free PDF you can send to a client or a boss, and it can send the "monitored site changed" event to Slack or a webhook, which we wrote up in Slack and Zapier notifications.
Agency ($79 a month) goes to 25 monitored sites, 250 pages per crawl, white-label PDFs, the embed widget and the REST API. The pricing page has the full comparison.
Why we did it
We want the Free plan to be useful on its own, not a demo of Pro. One audit tells you what is wrong today. A weekly re-check tells you when that changes, which is the part people actually miss. If you have a site you have not looked at in a while, run an audit on it, and from next Tuesday we will keep an eye on it for you. The free tools are there too if you only want to check one thing.
Get one AI fix instruction tailored to your platform, free. 3 audits a month, no card. Pro unlocks fixes for every issue.
